Stealing Naboth's Vineyard - I Kings 21

On February 13, 2000, supporters of the Coalition to Save Fort Trumbull Neighborhood staged a mock funeral march for a neighborhood that was slated for demolition. It was to be leveled to support the expansion of Pfizer Global Research headquarters. The neighborhood just didn't have the right kind of people living in it. They had to go! On that day, I was asked to give a eulogy. I used the story of Naboth's Vineyard, a biblical story that in many ways is being played out in our own day.
